Barking Dog Complaint Letter

Dogs are considered the most faithful and cultured pets. People mostly keep them for safety. Some people keep them as pets. Apart from this, wild dogs and street dogs are considered much dangerous. If pet dogs are trained well, they are found much obedient, faithful, and affiliated to their owners.

There are a variety of dog species that exist all over the world. Among them, there are some specific species that can be kept as a pet. Nowadays, keeping pet dogs is becoming much more common. As it is becoming common, a lot of problems are also arising. For example, noise generated due to the barking of dogs is annoying the neighborhood.

It is the right of the neighbor to lead a peaceful life without any disturbance. On the other hand, it is also a general courtesy from the owner of the pet to take care of the neighbor for any inconvenience caused by the pet and to keep aware of the neighbor’s rights. If the neighbor is still facing the subject’s problems, then he should complain to the owner and subsequently, to a higher authority to resolve the issue.

I am writing to you to register my complaint against the constant barking of my neighbor’s dog. I am an old resident of these apartment blocks and I know the rules by the housing authority according to which pets cannot be kept in apartments as there is are a nuisance for the neighbors. However, recently my neighbors bought a small puppy and kept it in their apartment.

I am an old man and a patient of hypertension and diabetes. If there is even a slight disturbance I lose my night’s sleep but my neighbor’s dog starts barking at 10 pm sharp and does not stop until 12 am. It is extremely unsettling as I end up tossing and turning all night and lose my sleep after all this noise. This lack of sleep is taking its toll on my physical and mental health. When I complained to the neighbor they said that the puppy just needs some time to settle in the new home but it has been a week now and I cannot tolerate it any longer.

Please look into this matter and try to understand the gravity of the situation. A person my age and with health issues like mine already has trouble sleeping and on top of that if there is a factor like this disturbing their nighttime routine it becomes torturous.

I am your neighbor and I am writing to complain about your dog. I am a doctor and I have to go to the hospital every night due to night shifts. It is really important for me to get my sleep in the daytime. Because of your dog, my sleep gets disturbed. He is always barking loudly and makes it impossible for anyone to get enough sleep.

Whenever a stray cat or dog passes by he starts to bark like crazy. This would not have been a problem for me before as I like dogs a lot but now, due to my job, it is really frustrating.

This situation is not only disturbing my sleep but also taking its toll on my work as I need to be very attentive and fully focused. Even slight inattention can cause someone’s life. Please try to change the place where you tie your dog so that it does not get disturbed by the stray cats etc. and is not triggered to bark or take any action necessary to ensure that it does not bark so loudly.
