Complaint Letter to Travel Agency for Bad Services

Travel agencies provide travel and tourism-related services like transportation and accommodation. Such services can be through airlines, rental cars, packaged tours, railways, etc. They serve as a medium between the people and suppliers. The work of a travel agency is all related to management. They need to be much efficient in management. Teamwork provides effective results. The travel agents perform all the tasks related to these services.

People have built strong trust in travel agencies as they provide ease related to travel and tourism. But, this trust can ruin if they will deceive the people. And people can also lose trust when the said services are not delivered. The agencies should keep a proper system to avoid such inconveniences and also keep customer satisfaction. When the people suffer any inconvenience they make serious complaints against these travel agencies. And people also demand compensation or refund.

I am writing to register my complaint against your travel agency’s bad services. I had to travel to [city] from [city] in an emergency on [date] and as it was the Christmas weekend. I realized that it would be difficult to get a flight and reach there timely, so I approached your travel agency as you claim to have a 24-hours emergency service.

When I called your helpline, initially no one picked up. After multiple tries when I was finally able to get a hold of someone, I was informed that it was not possible to arrange anything on such short notice. When I explained the urgent nature and the importance of my trip and your travel agency’s claim to arrange any trip on twelve hours’ notice, the operator put me on hold, which lasted for half an hour.

After which I talked consecutively with at least three different people in your agency, each referring me to the next one.

After this tiresome exercise, your agent contacted me late at night that a flight had been arranged for the next day. I went to bed relieved, only to wake up the next day to the news that the flight has been canceled and the agent is looking for another one for me. It continued in the same manner and I finally got a seat on [date] and reached [destination city], late for my commitment and exhausted by the entire wait and confusion.

This is highly unprofessional and the negligence of your staff put me in a very awkward and embarrassing situation. I was not expecting such inefficiency from a reputed firm like yours. Please look into this issue and resolve it at your earliest.

I am writing to complain about the inefficient and unprofessional service provided by your travel agency. I had booked a trip to [name of city] using your travel agency. I had taken the executive package, which included the hotel stay and car rented out by the company.

We were informed that travel agency staff would be present at the time of takeoff to help us with check-ins and on landing at [destination city], your agency’s representatives would be present to escort us to the hotel.

However, on reaching the airport we could not find anyone from your travel agency. Despite multiple calls to Mr. [name] the agent handling our trip. We could not get a hold of him. Similarly, on landing, your representative was not present and came after making us wait for two hours. The car we had requested and had been charged for was not there but a different car had come to pick us up. Even the hotel suites we had requested were not provided.

Our entire trip was mismanaged and we had a horrible time instead of relaxing, we were constantly calling the agent. We were not expecting such negligence and incompetence. We had paid for the executive package to ensure comfortable travel but were highly disappointed with the services provided.

Please ensure that the services requested at the time of booking are provided or clearly inform that they are not available.

I am Charlie Christopher, Vice Principal of Academic High School. I am writing to complain about my worst experience with your travel agency. I booked a trip for grade tenth to Point Dume, California from Nevada. It was from 12th May to 15th May 20XX.

When we reached the hotel, they told us that only three rooms were booked by our name. And our booking was for seven rooms as per the deal. The daily breakfast charges were also inclusive. Again the hotel management said that it was exclusive and only the rooms were booked.

We faced a lot of difficulties. It was the worst trip we ever had. Two days went by in vain to cope with all these issues. The transport which you provided went back after leaving us at the hotel but the deal said that transport will stay with us for the whole trip. I am very much disappointed. I want a refund for the services you have not provided. You just made this trip a terrible experience.
